Brad Lauer, Discipleship Pastor

Brad Lauer began his time with Campbellsville Baptist Church in May 2008. He holds degrees 
from Kentucky Wesleyan College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. More than anything in ministry, Brad loves to create experiences for people to encounter Christ in small group and large group settings where relationships form with other believers. The second greatest love in Brad's life after Jesus Christ is his life-partner, Jennifer and they have been married since August 1994. God has blessed Brad and Jennifer with two wonderful children, Madison and Micah. In Brad's spare time he enjoys family outings, golf, basketball and biking.

David Johnson, Worship Pastor

David Johnson accepted the call into full time Christian service in 1984 and holds a Master of Church Music degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Joining the ministry team as Worship Pastor in July 1997, David has been instrumental in the creation of our contemporary worship service and the development of the Praise Team Ministry. He believes the Christian walk is summed up in one word - "Journey." His goal is to use the means of music and the arts to assist other pilgrims in their own path. David enjoys leading and serving on mission teams, whether home or abroad.  When David is not serving our church he enjoys time alone hiking, kayaking, or other activities taking him outdoors. 

David has been married to his high school sweetheart Pam since 1978 and they have three wonderful daughters, and a precocious Highland Terrier.

Justin McDonald, Activities Pastor

Justin began his time as Activities Pastor in June 2010. He is a native of LaGrange, KY. Justin began his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky in 2002 but eventually transferred to the University of the Cumberlands where he received a scholarship to play baseball. Justin studied Movement and Leisure and Religion while at UC, and graduated in 2006. After graduating college, Justin attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas where he received the degree Master of Arts of Christian Education with a concentration in Church Recreation. Justin has served in Recreation Ministry since 2003, ministering in churches in Louisville, KY, Dallas, TX, and Atlanta, GA. 
He enjoys all aspects of recreation ministry, specifically sports camps and mission trips. 
He serves as an adjunct professor at Campbellsville University. He is married to Jessica and has 2 beautiful daughters, Kathryn Grace and Eva Jane, and a dog named Bailey. Justin enjoys cooking, playing sports, running and all things University of Kentucky. "Go Big Blue!"

Will began serving Campbellsville Baptist Church in October of 2014. He had previously ministered to students in Indiana for 15 years. Will attended Boyce College in Louisville and later completed his Bachelor's in Ministry and Leadership from Crossroads Bible College in Indianapolis.

Will is passionate about student ministry and seeing students not only come to Christ, but to devote their lives to Him day to day. He is also passionate about sharing God's Word and evangelism. Will loves to see students grow spiritually. He enjoys teaching students how to serve the community through mission trips.

Will and his wife Jenny have been married 20 years and have 4 sons, Levi, CJ, Jonah, and Ethan. In his spare time he enjoys biking, playing football and basketball, gardening and working on vehicles.

Jeremy Litton, Director of Children's Ministry

Jeremy is from Somerset, KY and is currently a student at Campbellsville University 
where he will  graduate in May 2016 with a degree in Educational Ministries and a minor in Psychology. He has been working with children in a ministry setting throughout his college career, as well as before coming to college. He was a volunteer here at Campbellsville Baptist Church for almost three years before stepping into this position. He has a huge passion for teaching kids about the Gospel, and loves the opportunity to walk through their early spiritual journeys with them. 

Jeremy's knowledge in ministering to kids has come from both experience and a degree in ministering to young people. He worked at a camp for three consecutive summers called SpringHill, and it was a huge influence in his life and how he works with and interact with kids. Children are his passion, and he wants to dedicate his life to improving children’s ministry, teaching kids the love of Christ and investing his time into their lives.

Jessica McDonald, Interim Director of Preschool Ministry

Jessica has volunteered in the CBC preschool ministry for several years but was invited to join 
the staff in December of 2015. She is passionate about preschoolers and their families as well as helping those who share her passion find a place to serve in this ministry. She also leads our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group. Jessica graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2015 with a BS in psychology and also attended SWBTS where she studied Christian education and preschool ministry. She is married to Justin and has two preschool-aged daughters. She enjoys being her with family, reading, cooking, writing, and coffee dates with friends.

Dr. Scott Wigginton, Counseling Pastor

Dr. Scott Wigginton serves part-time as Counseling Pastor at Campbellsville Baptist Church in addition to his full-time position as Professor of Pastoral Ministries and Counseling at Campbellsville University. A licensed marriage and family therapist as well as licensed pastoral counselor, he served from 1993-2004 as Executive Director of LifeCare Counseling Center and Counseling Minister at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Scott has been married to Elizabeth since 1986 and they are proud parents of Auburn, Hope and Caleb. Scott has earned M. Div., Th.M., and Ph.D. degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is a Clinical member and Approved supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a Fellow with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and former clinical member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association. In addition to counseling and teaching, he has written a family column for the Western Recorder, the weekly newspaper for the Kentucky Baptist Convention, since 2001.


Karen Edwards, Senior Pastor Ministry Assistant

Karen Edwards joined the CBC staff in January 2005. As Ministry Assistant to the Senior Pastor her passion is to do whatever it takes to be helpful and involved and to help minister to those who walk through the doors of Campbellsville Baptist Church. A native of Campbellsville, Karen is a pastor's wife and a great asset to her husband Kelvin, who is pastor of Aetna Grove Baptist Church in Green County. Karen and Kelvin have been married since 1982 and have two daughters and two grandchildren.

Carrie Gaddis, Worship Ministry Assistant

Since May 2006, Carrie has served as Ministry Assistant to the Worship Pastor. Her role is to support the work of the worship/music ministry and to help implement the vision cast by the Worship Pastor. Much of her time is spent working with the print media and other communications projects. Her goal is to serve the members of CBC with kindness and respect. Carrie graduated from Campbellsville University with her degree in Office Management and also earned her Masters of Business Administration from CU. She met her husband Mitch while in college at CU and they have been married since October 1997. They minister together in many areas of the worship ministry including Adult Choir, Praise Team, and Orchestra.

Rebecca Lawless, Discipleship Ministry Assistant

Rebecca Lawless joined the staff of Campbellsville Baptist Church as the Discipleship Ministry Assistant in 2016. She is originally from Mount Sterling, KY. Rebecca received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Campbellsville University in 2007. She went on to receive a Master of Art in Teaching from University of the Cumberlands in 2014.  Rebecca has been married to her college sweetheart Luke for four years. She is so excited to be a part of the CBC staff. In her spare time Rebecca enjoys tennis, boating, fishing, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

Robyn Lawless, Activities Ministry Assistant

Robyn Lawless has grown up in Campbellsville and was baptized at Campbellsville Baptist Church at the age of 5. She met her husband Randy while attending Campbellsville University where she received a degree in church recreation. They have 2 sons and a daughter in law, Luke and Rebecca Lawless, Lincoln Lawless.  She had previously worked as a kinder assistant for 15 yrs.  She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, & kayaking. She also love traveling and spending time with her family.
